Born For a Reason

Infant Abandonment Prevention Initiative

The Founder’s Story BABY-I is a founder-led initiative for infant dignity and abandonment prevention. "From the first breath to the last, we believe in the infinite impact of a single soul. Saving one life can change the course of humankind." (Moral Consciousness Born from Lived Experience).

BABY-I IS THE BIRTH OF ETHICS

Every infant is born with a unique identity. That unique identity is the seed of dignity and we believe dignity is the foundation of ethics. The moment an infant is born, ethics is born. The moment we recognise that a life has value before it has a voice, morality begins. I founded BABY-I because I lived through experiences that showed me the consequences that arise from the absence of humanity and the absence of a just support system. I know what it means to be young and unprotected and I also know what it means to need someone to stand between you and harm. And I know- with a certainty that no argument can shake- that every infant deserves someone who will stand for them.

 Warda Rose Founder, BABY-I

"Founded in 2011 by Warda Rose, BABY-I exists to prevent infant abandonment by offering support, protection, and understanding to vulnerable families. We believe every infant deserves a safe beginning — and every parent deserves support in their darkest hour."

We do not hold custody authority

UK law does not permit any charity to do so. Instead, we provide crisis support, professional signposting, and advocacy to help parents navigate statutory services before abandonment becomes inevitable.

We invite local safeguarding partners and public authorities to work with us in establishing secure referral pathways and joint training initiatives.

Crime prevention works best when agencies collaborate. In line with the Working Together to Safeguard Children statutory guidance, our non-profit organization bridges the gap between official services and underrepresented communities, ensuring a united, proactive approach to protecting vulnerable babies.

We focus on upstream crime prevention by connecting with parents before a crisis turns into crime.

Current funder for the Baby-i First Aid & Awareness Project.

Our current project—a professional training and awareness campaign for frontline young mothers—is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and is actively saving infants' lives.

We need continuous funding to help save infants' lives and protect vulnerable parents.

All funds are kept in a dedicated project account and used solely for the specified purposes.

We are actively pursuing registration with the Charity Commission. Once registered, we will be able to offer Gift Aid and formal charitable tax benefits on future donations.

If you prefer to wait until we are fully registered before donating, we understand. You can register your interest here, and we will contact you once our charity status is confirmed.
